About 3,500 national and foreign guests participated in the reception in honor of the creation of the Macau SAR of the People’s Republic of China, today, December 20, at 4:00 p.m.

The list of quests included Mr. Qian Qichen, Vice Premier and President of the Macau SAR Preparatory Committee and many high-ranking officials from defferent countries as well as representatives of international organizations.

The reception was held at the Landmark Building. Mr. Qian Qichen and Mr. Edmund Ho delivered speeches during the occasion.

Both Qian and Ho together with the guests toasted in honor of the creation of the Macau SAR.
